DrugDojo privacy notice

DrugDojo is an educational resource from PharmaNUS for practice and revision. You can use all of its learning content without an account. This notice explains what data each part of DrugDojo uses, where it is held, how long it is kept and how to download or delete it.

Without an account

Your progress (XP, streak, katas and kumites cleared, review schedule, collected cards and settings) is saved in your browser on your device. It is not sent anywhere. Clearing the site's data, or using another browser or device, starts afresh. You can download a progress file and import it on another device. DrugDojo does not use advertising or third-party analytics.

Optional account (progress on every device)

Who holds your email and passwordNetlify Identity, part of DrugDojo's hosting provider (Netlify), which also sends the confirmation and password-reset emails. DrugDojo's own database never stores your email address.
What DrugDojo's database storesYour progress: XP, streak and study days, katas and kumites cleared, your review schedule (including whether you got each card right last time), Drug-dex records and how often each common misconception came up; a random id for each device that syncs, a label such as "Android phone", and when it last synced. It does not store the answers you chose, your name or your location.
How longUntil you delete your account. After deletion, only the account's random id is kept for one day, to stop a deleted session from syncing again.
Your controlsIn the profile panel ("Your data") you can download everything stored for your account, or delete the account and its data, at any time.

Dojo League (optional)

Joining is optional and needs no account. You race under a pseudonym (such as "anon-digoxin-482") or a league name you pick from generated suggestions (such as "Swift Kinase 27"). League names cannot be typed, so no one can use a real name, an identification number or an offensive name. Only the learners in your weekly cohort see your league name and weekly league XP. Some rivals in small cohorts are computer-generated; this is explained in the league's notes.

To score league XP, DrugDojo's server receives what you practise (which item, whether it was correct and when). It does not receive your name, email or the answer text. Activity records are kept for 8 weeks and weekly results for 26 weeks. You can leave the league at any time. A moderator can pause a learner's league place if needed.

AI marking of case questions (when switched on)

Some kumite case questions can be marked by an AI service. When you submit one for AI marking, your written answers for that case are sent through DrugDojo's hosting provider (Netlify) to the AI provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) to be marked against DrugDojo's own answer key. DrugDojo does not store your answer text; it keeps only a count of how many AI markings you used each day (for the daily limit). Do not include names or any patient details in your answers. You can always mark a case yourself instead.

Review reminders (optional, when switched on)

If you turn on reminders, DrugDojo's server stores your browser's push address (issued by its push service), the kind of device (phone or computer), your reminder time, quiet hours and time zone, and the times your reviews fall due. It stores no answers, question text, names or emails. Turning reminders off deletes this at once; otherwise it is deleted after 90 days of paused reminders or 6 months without opening DrugDojo.

Security and abuse protection

To limit abuse, DrugDojo's server keeps short-lived rate-limit records keyed by a one-way hash of your connection (never the raw address), deleted after one day. The owner can see overall counts (for example, how many accounts or league players there are), never your email.

Where your data is held

DrugDojo is hosted by Netlify. Account, league and reminder data are held by Netlify and its database provider, and AI marking uses the AI provider named above. These providers may store or process data outside Singapore.

You can download or delete your account data yourself in the app.

Not medical advice

DrugDojo is an educational resource for practice and revision only. It does not provide medical advice or clinical decision support. Never enter information about real patients.
